Prestige Moving’s Managing Director Terry Davison was featured on the Hughesy & Kate Drive Home Show on KIIS FM 101.1 to provide Kate Langbroek with some expert moving advice on how to move a 1000 kilogram Marble Neptune God Statue she purchased in Vietnam from the Melbourne Docks to her place.
At 178 cm from the sword to the bottom it was clear that Kate had a bit of a logistical issue that needed some expert attention. From moving commercial gym equipment to pianos, billiard tables and 6 foot tall bank safes, we assured her that a one tonne statue of a Neptune God holding a trident would be business as usual for the removals team at Prestige.
Custom made equipment allows us to take on projects of all sizes. Our process would be simple:
- We’d start by using one of our custom built furniture trucks with airbag suspension to transport the statue, as we need to avoid any sudden bumps or jolts which can cause the statue to crack.
- We’d then use our hydraulic tailgate to lower it off the truck.
- Then we’d basically uncrate it, remove the packaging & use a bit of muscle to tilt it over to get some heavy duty straps under it so we can crane it into position.
